Many of the most popular houseplants we pick are foliage plants, cultivated for the aesthetic value of their leaves. The flowers, if they bloom at all, are often quite inconsequential.
Numerous aromatic flowering plants commonly found in gardens can also be grown indoors. Since they can be a bit bland at times the rest of the year and ultimately thrive outdoors, it’s usually best to simply bring them indoors at the peak of their flowering period.
Some fragrant plants have fairly strong scents that some people might find overpowering. The best smells are those that float gently and aren’t overpowering. Here are some of our favourites.
